Hi everyone! So my Mother in Law is moving in next door. However she only has a suitcase of clothes. So we’ve decided to set up a central hub so to speak to help flesh out her apartment with the bare necessities. She needs things like basic appliances, furniture, dishes – If you’re able to help out that’s amazing, and if not that’s okay too. If you have anything old/used/ that you’re not using anymore I’d happily provide an address to mail things (or you can send it to us as she’s moving to the apartment next door). Good morning everyone! I had a great night. Well a bit rough start, but overall a great night. Kira was awake until about 1:40am, which was the rough start, but she soon fell asleep and my big girl slept from 1:40, woke up briefly at 7 to nurse but then was out by 7:10 and ultimately woke up around 9:30, which means that *I* got some rest! Yay :D *flails around* hehe =)

Been a busy couple of days. Yesterday was Walker and Brin’s last day of school, and they both are headed to the next grade level. It seems to be absolutely flying. A lot of Brin’s kindergarten was me being pregnant, and I am going to miss the people I met at her school, as next year she’ll be going the full day and I won’t need to be there at noon to get her. Which is also exciting for me, because that means that I’ll have Kira to myself until about 3pm every day, and that I am excited about. I feel odd being without her, I know that’s probably the fact that she is new and I am her mother, but I feel just so much better when she is in my arms or in my line of sight.

Walker and Charlie headed to the lake for the end of the year lake party for Walker’s class, and that was fun for them, I am glad that Charlie went because Walker does not know how to swim (Yeah, I know), and I was scared to send him to the lake knowing that he can’t swim. (Well, he knows the basics he just doesn’t trust himself yet, I am hoping this summer though :D).

While they were there, and Brin was in school my landlord came by to fix our hot water heater. It had gotten bad, to the point that we had a milk jug under the leak getting the water, and had to shut off the hot water at night because the jug would be overflowing in less than an hour. Thankfully we don’t pay for water else that would have totally put us back. Anyways, he came by with another guy to fix it, and then left the other guy here.. Who kept on calling me hon, darlin, babe, sweetheart, etc.. while flattering, a bit creepy, as it was just Kira and I at home.

I then made a dress for one of my dolls that I sold, and headed to the post office soon as Charlie and the kids got home. I walked in the post office and started to package them up and reached for my wallet and could not find it. Insert panic here! Ran home and it wasn’t at home, either, but Kira was pitching a fit, so I grabbed Charlie’s wallet, and packed Kira up and headed to the post office. At the post office she started to freak out again, but I pulled her out to find that she incredibly hot, so I reached in the diaper bag to snag something to cool her down, and lo and behold I found my wallet (yay).

Oh, and one final thing is that I’ve got my webcam working again, mostly to show Kira off to my family who do not live in California, but I snapped a picture of myself, too –



(I have lost 40lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight! Woo hoo!!)

So, I was getting something off the shelf and they all fell down. Bah.

Hi everyone!

So, what a week it’s been!.. It’s nice having Kira home, she is a very easy baby to take care of *knock on wood* she hardly ever cries and if she does it’s only to tell us she is hungry. She is just now starting to stay awake more and look around. Her stump fell off yesterday so .. yay I can start dressing her in more fun clothes. She nurses like a champ, and sleeps pretty well. We are co-sleeping, I didn’t want too, but she dislikes her crib, I hope soon to switch her to her crib.



I am doing okay! Working on little sleep, but still doing okay.

Walker is adjusting well to the baby, and keeps on asking if he may hold her, but until her collarbone heals I am wary of it. Brin on the other hand is having a hard time adjusting to the baby. The first few days we were home she was pitching fits, tantrums, anything really to get attention. I finally asked her why she was so angry and she replied “I am not the baby anymore”. Charlie and I both had a long talk with her, and she seems to be better. Thankfully she was only mad at me really, and not the baby. Of course there are times that both Walker and Brin fight, and I am trying to let them get away with things, not a lot mind you, but also not trying to call them out on things every few minutes.

Let’s see, that’s really a nutshell update on us.. heh =) Earlier this week I made both Brin and I change purses (I had to switch purses to a diaper bag, and there wasn’t enough pockets for my change, and other sundry things), Brin’s went fine, it was my first time attaching snaps to something, however mine I heard the baby cry and I was trying to rush and ended up putting on a snap backwards! Which those things don’t come off, so I screwed up on mine, it’s still functional and everything, but the pretty fabric I picked for the outer fabric is now the liner. Oh well!

Home….

Is the day.. Tomorrow I get to meet the being that’s growing inside of me. It’s hard to explain what I am feeling, nervous, happy, scared, excited, worried, overjoyed.. I finally get to meet this little person that is apart of me, that has been growing inside of me, that has been the source of joy, and worry that I helped to create. I am… well.. ready. I just hope that everything goes well, and that Walker and Brin adjust well. I had a few more things to say, but alas I have been distracted. Anyways! My next post, hopefully will be pictures of Kira and a note saying we’re doing just fine! Until then..
